A sandlot baseball club for everyone.

Following in the footsteps of those who ushered in the Sandlot Revolution, The Carolina Sandlot Collective is a league for all those who wish to enjoy the game of baseball regardless of age, sex, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, class, background, or skill level. This movement that’s spread to every corner of the country and beyond is meant to rekindle, or kindle for the first time, a love of this great game.

For the love of the game.

We prioritize community and camaraderie over competition. Longtime players and those donning a glove for the first time, we gather on the field to have fun first and foremost. We run no drills, we award no trophies, we remember the good times long after we’ve forgotten who won and who lost. We throw hardballs, we swing wooden bats, we drink cold beer, we celebrate each others successes and share each others losses. The spirit of sandlot baseball is to reject the notion that this game is meant for an exclusive few and for the rest of us to watch from the stands and instead to build from the bottom up an inclusive community of ball players who together take joy and pride in the sights, sounds, and experience of Baseball.

A community affair.

This isn’t your average baseball club. This is a weekend block party where a baseball game happens to break out. This is about bringing together our community and using baseball as a conduit to do it. This isn’t about skill-level or competition. This is about creating connection in our community. You can play with us, or you can just come out and hang out. Either way, BYOB!
